Peking Duk are coming in cold (Frozen Fanta cold!)

The boys from Peking Duk have a new single, upcoming tour and McDonalds collab!

“In every sense we want to make it more Spinal Tap than Spinal Tap itself. More ridiculous than the word ridiculous, more XL, more everything!”

That was how Peking Duk’s Reuben Styles described the Aussie Electronic Duo’s upcoming ‘Biggest Tour Ever’, due to hit WA in May of this year.

“Yeah it’s going to be huge, we can’t wait,” added Styles’ bandmate Adam Hyde. “For the show itself we’re just upping the ante with it both production-wise and edit-wise. We’re doing a bunch of special edits of our songs that you can only hear at the shows and the stage set itself, we’re really trying to make it spectacular”.

Peking Duk have become renowned for their live shows over the last few years. A fierce dedication to writing catchy pop music, combined with a laidback, fun loving persona has become a potent recipe for an electric night on the dance floor. The boys latest single Sugar is sure to fit just nicely into that mix.

“It’s definitely like a throwback to the good times of pop music in the early 2000’s,” said Hyde. “To see people embrace it with open arms is gold, because it’s obviously different times these days but we’re stoked with it. It’s been sick!”

It was one of those things like ‘should we go there’ in a style sense, because no-one else has really going there since it all happened,” chimed in Styles. “So we were like screw it, let’s do it!”.

Peking Duk are no strangers to WA, having toured here extensively in both Metro and Regional areas over the last three years. Loaded with a brand new single and a live show stacked full of hits, Styles and Hyde are chomping at the bit to get back here to our fine state and unleash the tunes.

“Perth and Western Australia has that certain something,” Hyde told us. “You know like Esperance and stuff has that White Sand, the blue sky. It’s very different to over on the East naturewise, that’s for sure. It’s always stunning”

Peking Duk play Red Hill Auditorium on Saturday the 4th of May, tickets available via their website.
